Nollywood actress Toyin Aimakhu has joined the group of other Nigerian celebrities to have changed their names.
Many of her colleagues including Omotola Jalade, Funke Akindele, Nse Ikpe and Fathia Balogun have all changed their names after marriage.
But it's different for Toyin Aimakhu - now Toyin Abraham - who changed her name to please her family.
On what prompted the change of name, she said on her new YouTube Channel: "It's a family decision, my dad's name is Abraham and my forefather's name is Aimakhu. It's a family issue, its a family thing, it's a family decisionwhich I don't wanna to discuss.'
She said, "They've actually asked me to change it like two-three years ago, I told them my brand, but now insisted.'
It's the second time the actress would be adopting a new name since she entered the Nigerian movie industry in 2005.
She dropped 'Johnson' after splitting from her ex-husband, Adeniyi Johnson, in August 2015.
Many of Toyin's fans find it hard adapting to her new name 'Abraham,' though.
The same way actress, Faithia is still been addressed as 'Balogun', more than her real name 'Williams', about five years after her marriage to actor, Saheed Balogun ended
