Vincent Aboubakar was the hope for the lions, as he came off the bench to score a fantastic brilliant goal with two mins left as Cameroon fought back from behind Egypt 2-1 in the thrilling African Cup of Nations final on Sunday in Gabon.
It is a fifth cup of Nations crown for the Indomitable Lions, a first since 2002, and the first time they have beaten Egypt in the final of Three attempts.
Despite many of their top stars who have boycott the African Cup of Nations, Cameroon have shocked the continent to win the title. Two substitutes were their heroes, with Nicolas Nkoulou and Vincent Aboubakar finding the back of the net in the second half.
Aboubakar, who was surprisingly given little game time in this tournament, picked a perfect time to score his first goal. Facing three defenders by himself, he chested down a long ball, played a rainbow flick to himself, and smacked a half-volley into the back of the net.
Congratulations to Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
